There’s something to be said
about people who get rich. That in and of itself is an accomplishment that most
of us simply won’t reach. In the past, most people who got rich did so over a
fairly long period of time. But as technology has gotten more popular, the
world simply moves at a much, much faster pace than it used to. With the advent
of YouTube stars, app moguls and the technologically savvy, the truth is that
most anyone can be a millionaire these days. Just take a look at the three
youngest billionaires in the world:
3. Yang Huiyan
How many times have we heard
the old, tired trope of the spoiled kids who inherit all their fortunes and
squander it in a matter of years? Far too often of you ask us. Among the more
refreshing rich people on this list is Yang Huiyan. Huiyan is the daughter of
Chinese real estate mega mogul Yeung Kwok Keung, who owns one of China’s
largest real estate development companies. Her father transferred all his
shares in the company to his daughter who has taken it upon herself to run the
strategic end of the company. She’s worth over $4.9 billion.
2. Dustin Moskovitz
Getting rich these days is
about being in the right place at the right time. For Dustin Moskovitz that
meant Facebook. Despite all the drama that you’ve probably heard surrounding
the infamous website, the fact is that anyone involved pioneered in
successfully changed the world as we know it. From the early days in the coding
trenches, Moskovitz was responsible for major things that made Facebook work on
mobile platforms. Distracted teenagers thank him! So it goes to show you. Be a
nerd and hang out with the bigger nerds if you want an in! Moskovitz is worth
over $8.1 billion.
1. Mark Zuckerberg
Alright, so you saw this
coming, right? Not many days go by without using this man’s incredibly
successful invention. Zuckerberg was always a remarkable student and
intelligent young man. Though the site has dubious origins with many sordid and
admittedly scandalous stories, Zuckerberg’s creation stands for itself. Having
changed the way the world communicated as a function. The world is more
connected than ever and that’s hard to quantify. Okay, well maybe it isn’t Mark
Zuckerberg is worth over $34 billion. Meanwhile, we’re sitting here in debt in
our twenties. Still, these three give us hope. All it takes is a great idea,
tact, and application to be rich.
