Ronaldo was voted the winner
of the Salon d'Or award by Goal magazine after they got readers to decide whose
name they liked the best. Ronaldo claimed an overwhelming victory with 32
percent of the vote.
Right behind Ronaldo at the
second spot was Juventus midfielder Andrea Pirlo, whose retro long hair and
beard was a popular look, with 9.4 percent of the vote, News.com.au reported.
Brazil's Neymar came third
with 7.9 percent of the vote for his spiky mop.
The 20-player shortlist was
drawn up by international hair stylist Daniel Johnson, which included
Liverpool's Mario Balotelli and Real Madrid's Gareth Bale.
It was revealed that Ronaldo
deserves this victory, adding that the Real Madrid star wears his hair like the
badge on his shirt, with serious pride.
