FAMILY MEMBERS BEAT 14-YEAR OLD GIRL IMPREGNATED BY RELATIVE, DISPOSE OFF HER STILLBORN

Police say a 14-year-old Texas girl was impregnated and sexually assaulted by one of her relatives and was later beaten by other family members when they discovered the pregnancy.
The young girl was beaten in a Pleasant Grove home in Dallas until she delivered a stillborn child, and the baby’s body was then burned on a charcoal grill and disposed of, reports WFAA.

The victim was assaulted multiple times between January and March 2013 but did not report the assault because she was “embarrassed.” However, things only got worse when she discovered that she was pregnant, and family members attempted to force her to abort the baby. They gave her “multiple doses” of birth control, emergency contraception and cinnamon pills. When that did not work, they beat her until she delivered the stillborn child.

Cedric Jones, 27, Sharon Jones, 45, Cecilia McDonald, 25 and Lonnell McDonald, 27, have all been charged with “engaging in organized criminal activity” for their role in the assault and later cover-up.

Sharon Jones allegedly gave the victim birth control pills in an attempt to force an abortion, while the McDonalds are accused of the six-hour assault, in which Cecilia allegedly pinned her down while Lonnell “repeatedly bounced up and down” on the girl.

“You ain’t about to get my kids taken away from me,” Cecilia McDonald allegedly told the victim. Allegedly, there was concern that if proof got out of the sexual abuse the victim had endured, child services would step in.

After the assault, Cedric Jones was allegedly paid $25 to “take care of the rest of it” by disposing of the baby’s body, which had been already burned on a charcoal grill as part of the cover-up.

All four adults were arrested, charged with engaging in criminal activity and are each being held on $150,000 bond.

New York police are investigating the death of a Suitland woman who had received a buttocks injection during a cosmetic-surgery procedure in a basement apartment in Queens.

On May 30, Kelly Mayhew, 34, accompanied by her mother, went to New York for the procedure, according to New York police.

They met a woman in the basement of a home, where, police say, the woman injected Mayhew with an unknown substance in the buttocks area. There is “no indication that the woman is a doctor,” said Sgt. Lee Jones, a spokesman with the New York Police Department.

After Mayhew had what appeared to be an allergic reaction, according to police, her mother called 911. The woman who gave her the injections fled the apartment, police said.

Mayhew was taken to a hospital, where she was later pronounced dead.

Police said that Mayhew’s mother told them that her daughter had previously undergone other cosmetic-surgery procedures.

Mayhew worked as a freelancer for BET Networks. Jamie Owens, a spokesman at BET, issued a statement of condolence to her family.

“We are saddened by the death of our colleague and friend, Kelly Mayhew. Our hearts go out to her family and we extend our deepest sympathies for their loss.”

On her Facebook page, Mayhew wrote about her body and posted pictures of her backside, according to the New York Daily News. One of her posts showed Beyoncé and Nicki Minaj, along with a caption that read, “love,” the paper said.

On Wednesday, Mayhew’s brother, Robert Lane, 26, of Gaithersburg, described his sister as a “sweetheart.” He recalled that the two would jokingly argue — with him sometimes teasing that he was the older, protective brother, even though she was older. He that said saying anything more about her was “too personal.”

Julie Bolcer, a spokeswoman with the New York office of the chief medical examiner, said the death “remains under investigation.”

“An examination was performed, but our determination of cause and manner of death is pending the results of additional testing and the police investigation,” she said.
