The
singer hogged the headlines with her appearance at the 2013 MTV Europe Music
Awards in Amsterdam
Miley,
20, took what looked like a joint from her handbag as she accepted the award
for Best Video for her song Wrecking Ball.
"I
couldn't fit this award in my purse but I did find this," she said before
flicking a lighter and smoking it.
The
Bangerz singer opened the show with a performance of We Can't Stop, where she
"twerked" with a dwarf.
Miley,
who flashed the flesh on the red carpet in a backless mini-dress, previously
courted controversy in August, when she twerked with Robin Thicke at the MTV
Video Music Awards and performed suggestively with a huge foam finger.
