No matter what the golf overlords call this time of year, most of us will forever know it as the Silly Season, and it is things like this exhibition from Tiger Woods that will hold that name true for another year.
Woods, who is reportedly getting $3 million in
appearance fees for this week's Turkish Airlines Open, did something not even
the most famous golfers in the world will ever be able to say they did; he hit
a shot from one continent to another.
Tiger Woods of the United
States , the World No. 1, makes history as he hits the
first golf shots from East to West on Istanbul 's
iconic Bosphorous Bridge linking Asia and Europe on November 5, 2013 in
Istanbul , Turkey
