Jerry Springer' Producer Arrested For Murder Of Her Deaf Sister

Jill Blackstone -- who produced a slew of big shows including "Jerry Springer," "Sally Jessy Raphael" and "Rosie"-- has been arrested for the murder of her deaf sister ... TMZ has learned.

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ, they received a call Monday from Blackstone saying there was a dead person and 3 dead dogs in her San Fernando Valley garage. Blackstone said the person killed herself, but when authorities arrived they thought the suicide note looked suspicious and believe it was written by Jill.

The victim, Wendy Blackstone, was 49 years old and lived in Studio City. We're told the body showed no outward signs of trauma and the coroner is doing a toxicology report.

Blackstone has also produced "Dr. Drew," "The Real," "Sharon Osbourne" and various court shows.
Blackstone was being held on $1 million bail. She was released late Wednesday afternoon.  A law enforcement source said the case was sent back to the LAPD for further investigation.

Neighbors said they heard through the police that Wendy had died by asphyxiation and were led to believe the incident had been an attempted double suicide, possibly by trying to poison themselves with fumes from their car.
Stephanie Cohen, 60, who lives across the street from the sisters said: ‘The police were here for 12 to 14 hours on Saturday. We were told they were investigating a double suicide, an attempt, and one of the people died.’
