A Boeing 777 operated by Asiana Airlines flying in from Taipei to San Francisco International Airport crashed as it was about landing at this airport. People are reportedly trapped inside the aircraft according to a police scanner.
Firefighters
are at the scene of a plane crash on the runway as thick clouds of black smoke
are billowing from the grounded aircraft and people escaping on emergency
slides.
The
fire on board the plane has been registered as third alarm and several
ambulances have been dispatched to the scene of the accident.
