And now it has been revealed former prostitute Helen Wood is making her way into the Big Brother house as the popular reality show returns to screens on Thursday.

The 27-year-old is set to spill Rooney’s sex secrets during her time in the house which her family fear will have a negative effect on the footballer’s performance during the World Cup in Brazil.

The brunette will be one of the ten housemates entering the Big Brother house and according to the Daily Star, her family have blasted the timing of her decision.

A friend of the family told the paper: ‘We understand Helen was supposed to go on Celebrity Big Brother back in January but for some reason she was dropped.

‘The fact that she has landed a place on the regular Big Brother right at the same time Wayne will be playing for England in the World Cup is more than just a coincidence.’

Helen is the daughter of music lecturer, Dr Stephen Wood and his primary school teacher ex-wife, Mary.

The Salford University lecturer famously apologised to Wayne and his wife Coleen when the scandal broke as he said: ‘I feel desperately sorry about any problems that may

have arisen as a result of what she’s done.

‘I’m extremely sad if Helen’s actions have had wider implications on anyone else.'

A spokesperson for the show has been contacted for comment.
