The Colombian arrived at Manchester airport minutes ago and will be on

Manchester United complete loan move for Colombian
striker
Falcao has scored 20 goals in 51 international
appearances for Colombia
Striker also scored 52 goals in 68 games for Atletico Madrid whilst in Spain
'Falcao's signing is some statement of intent by United,
and it's some financial commitment for a loan deal.
'Apart from the loan fee, the Colombia striker's wage is an area
of interest. As reported here, it's £200,000 a week. But, and it's a big but,
is that net or gross?
'Juventus did their utmost to tie him up on a season-long
loan and negotiated long and hard with Monaco, in an attempt to get them
to pay part of his sky-high earnings.
'Monaco
refused to play ball, and Juve gave up in despair, claiming they couldn't
afford a wage bill of 12 million euros NET.
'Such was Falcao's eagerness to test himself in a more
challenging environment, however, that he evidently indicated a willingness to
lower his sights financially to escape surroundings that may be palatial but
hardly rank as a football hotbed.
'It is to be assumed he dropped them significantly, since
figures here are generally quoted before stoppages.'
