Macaulay Culkin
The public was shocked when photos surfaced of the
"Home Alone" actor looking gaunt and haggard. The child star's
problems with drugs were well known, but since he was rarely seen in public,
fans were shocked to discover the depths of the actor's addiction.
Culkin's drug use most likely contributed to the demise
of his longterm relationship with actress Mila Kunis--the pair split in 2011.
We hope that the beloved actor is recovering safely.
Over the course of her rocky time in the public eye,
Courtney Love has been open about her drug use and struggles with addiction
Love admitted to using heroin (including in the first
trimester of her pregnancy), ecstasy and cocaine, among other drugs
The combined effects of heavy drug use have caught up with
her looks--the singer often looks bloated and shows signs of premature aging.
Love is now proudly clean
Courtney has confessed that staying clean is a constant
battle for her. She refers to her addictions as being "hulk-sized"
and could take over her if she isn't careful.
To stay on her clean path, Courtney practices yoga on a
regular basis. I think we can all agree Courtney is looking much healthier
these days.

Lindsay Lohan
The once fresh-faced teen star of "Mean Girls"
spent her early teen years as a role model for healthy body image and
positivity.
After an early start in acting, it was believed she had
avoided the child star curse until 2007 when a string of DUI and drug busts
brought her under fierce criticism.
Her downward spiral has been ongoing since then, despite
a string of rehab stints. Her thin and haggard appearance combined with an
often bloated face points are tell-tale effects of consistent cocaine use.
Lohan also underwent plastic surgery that altered her
physical appearance for the worse. We're all huge supporters of the Lindsay
Lohan comeback, so please, Lindsay, stop turning heads for the wrong reasons!
Mischa Barton
Actress Mischa Barton struggled to find work after her
role on the hit Fox drama "The O.C." ended in 2006. An addiction to
cocaine and a habit of excessive partying caused Mischa to rapidly gain weight,
only worsening her struggle to find work.
In 2009, she was hospitalized and put on psychiatric
hold. The incident seemed to spark some slight improvement in the starlet, although
she continues to lead a physically draining lifestyle.
Whitney Houston
One of the most tragic stories of a superstar and icon
ruined by addiction, Houston 's
decline began in the late 90's while she was still making music.
Due to her dramatic weight loss and toxic relationship
with Bobby Brown, suspicions of drug use dogged the star when she signed a
massive record deal in 2001.
She later admitted to heavy cocaine use during this
period, along with several dangerous prescription drugs. The singer tragically
passed away in 2012 due to an accidental drowning as a result of drug use and
heart disease.
Despite her hardships, Whitney was an extraordinary
talent and her music will continue to live on forever.
You'd think a model would know better than to ruin the
one thing that makes her career - but that didn't stop Kate Moss from a cocaine
addiction and a smoking habit that wreaked havoc on her skin and teeth
In 2005 a tabloid published photos of the model snorting
cocaine, but shockingly this didn't curb Moss' habit at all, rather increasing
her notoriety as a party girl and it-girl.
The star now looks years older than her actual age of 39,
due in part to the infamous 'coke bloat.'
According to Forbes, Moss made more money after her drug
scandal in 2005, even though she was dropped by big labels such as Burberry,
H&M and Chanel.
Amy Winehouse
Winehouse had not been in the music business long before
she acquired a dangerous drug habit. A brief recovery from addiction led to the
creation of her critically acclaimed album "Back to Black."
The soulful singer soon returned to a dangerous mix of
cocaine, ecstasy, ketamine, heroin and alcohol, due in part to a troubled
marriage in 2007.
The drugs took their toll physically - Amy was gaunt and
often had bloody scratches and bruises all over her body. Predictably but
tragically, she passed away of alcohol poisoning in 2011.
Amanda Bynes
Although Bynes categorically denies any drug use outside
of tobacco, recent pictures of the ill-fated child star suggest otherwise.
Her cheeks are showing signs of cocaine bloating, and
pictures taken inside her room show various drug paraphernalia. It would
certainly be an explanation for her recent erratic behavior and strange
appearance
Amanda is certainly not the lovable beauty she used to
be. We only hope this much loved comedienne can get back on track before it's
too late.
Charlie Sheen took the world by surprise when he spiraled
out of control during his notorious meltdown in 2011. Sheen's behavior got him
fired from his hit TV show "Two and a Half Men."
Sheen admitted that crack cocaine had previously cause
him problems in the past but that the substance did not play a factor in his
2011 meltdown
Regardless of his drug of choice, Sheen's excessive
partying habits have taken a toll on his appearance.
