Gabriel Jesus enhanced his growing
popularity at Manchester City with two goals on his full home debut, the second
coming in added time to snatch a dramatic victory against Swansea at the Etihad.
Gylfi Sigurdsson looked as though he had dealt City's title hopes a potentially
fatal blow and given Paul Clement's side a vial point in their battle against
relegation when he struck in the 81st minute to cancel out the Brazilian's
first-half opener. But with almost two of the four added minutes already
played, David Silva crossed for Jesus to head goalwards from close-range.
Swansea goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski kept it out but fumbled the ball, and
City's new £27million signing tucked away his third goal in two games; much to
the relief of Pep Guardiola as his side go up to third.
