The
flamboyant tycoon paid in the region of £12.4m after receivers were appointed
earlier this year – although he will have to spend around €1m immediately on
storm damage repairs.
Mr Trump
said he was switching his focus to Ireland after a Scottish judge rejected his
legal action against a wind energy project off the Aberdeenshire coast,
although he has vowed to appeal the Scottish decision.
Mr Trump
had claimed the offshore turbines would spoil the view from his luxury golf
course there. His new focus on Ireland
may raise hopes that Mr Trump will look north of the border again.
