Nicki Minaj is in the news today but not from anything she has
done, but rather what her brother Jelani Maraj did. Her 37-year old brother has
been arrested for the rape of a 12 year old.
According to a report from Newsday, Maraj “was arraigned Thursday on
first-degree rape and first-degree course of sexual conduct against a child,
according to online court and jail records.” His sister Nicki has made
references to him in a couple of songs before, the notable being in “All Things
Go”, where she said “And I know Jelani will always love me and I’ll always love
him / And I’m just his little sister, not Nicki Minaj when I’m around him.”
