Remember Me? I AM LUKAKU

Manchester United 2-1 Chelsea

It was such a breathe taking match especially when you support one of the teams on the field. Before the match, the manager of each club has been having an unending exchange of words with each other making the fans of both clubs and other clubs to look forward to this match, something to settle the score between the two managers.

On the part of Chelsea, the team has been performing brilliantly for a while and also had a draw with Barca during one of the champion’s leagues matches while United has been more of lukewarm though also had an away draw with Sevilla in its Champions’ League fixture. However, the majority of the pundits were of the opinion that Chelsea might carry the day while the worse outcome could be a draw because the match is taking place at Theatre of Dreams, which a fortress for United.

Within the few minutes of the match, the visitors took hold of the control of the match and started showing the colour that made them the reigning EPL champion. Morata shot hit the bar while De Gae has to save the follow-up shoot by Hazard.

However, Chelsea didn’t relax as they open scoring on 32 minutes with a flash shot from Willian that beat the best keeper in EPL (De Gae). This goal ignited the beauty in United team as they started finding their ways into the box 18 of Chelsea until Anthony Martial eventually made a pass to their key man Lukaku, who managed his way through two defenders and the keeper to put the ball into the net.

Jesse Lingard came off the bench to head in the game's winning goal, set up by Lukaku with a good cross
Immediately after the second goal by Lingard, Jose who initially had the intention of bringing in other attacking players changed his mind and brought a defender to hold on to the lead.

The match ended in favour of Manchester United. This was a win that United deserved.
