DON JAZZY BUYS JAY JAY OKOCHA’S CLUB

I pulsed and asked myself: What’s exactly is in this night club business?
Most notable celebrities are now going the way of having Night Club as part of their daily business activities. They believe with their names they could pull crowd to this business that is crown addicted and very innovating in nature.

The recent exploit of this business is by Don Jazzy, the CEO of Marvin Record who is also brand ambassador for popular milk called Loya. The highly talented song writer, producer and singer had just bought over the ownership of club 10 in the axis of Victoria-Island. Club 10 was previously owned by the super striker Jay Jay Okocha before the change of ownership and name.

ROBIN VAN PERSIE LUCKY TO BE ALIVE- ALEX FERGUSON

The Swansea City defender Ashley Williams insisted that he had tried to apologize to Robin van Persie for an unintentional clearance into his head which left a furious Sir Alex Ferguson declaring that the player was a "disgrace" and that he could have broken the Dutchman's neck.
"It is his opinion," Williams said. "I obviously cleared the ball and it hit him on the head. I understand why he is angry. I tried to apologize but there wasn't much time. I didn't see him afterwards and obviously I would shake his hand [if I had the chance] but it is no big deal. I just lashed at the ball and I understand why he is angry but it is not like I am going to shoot and hit him square on the head."
Ferguson's fury compounded his feelings of injustice on an afternoon when he alluded to 27-year-old referee Michael Oliver's youth in condemnation of his officiating. Ferguson implied that Williams should have been sent off after his 74th-minute clearance struck the grounded striker in a crowded area, as United pushed for a winner. "Robin van Persie is lucky to be alive. It was a disgraceful act from their player today and he should be banned by the FA," the United manager said. "Robin could have had a broken neck." Ferguson also felt that there had been a foul on one of his players in the build-up to Michu's equalizing goal, for which his defence left the striker unmarked to score.

RICHEST PASTORS IN AFRICA – FORBES [NET-WORTH]

As the Federal Government of Nigeria is planning to levy tax on Nigerian Pastors and churches, Forbes recently published the list of the richest pastors in Africa and Nigeria Pastors top the list. The pastors are affluent in all ways ranging from their clothing, lifestyle, exotic cars, private jet and money in the bank. I know we all have different perspectives to the wealth accumulation of these pastors or why they are wealthy especially if you belong to any of the churches of these pastors. Whatever your perspectives and believe about them, below are the 5 Wealthiest Pastors in Africa as identified by Forbes.

1. Bishop David Oyedepo

Affiliation: Living Faith World Outreach Ministry, aka Winners Chapel

Estimated net worth: $150 million

David Oyedepo is Nigeria’s wealthiest preacher. Ever since he founded the Living Faith World Outreach Ministry in 1981, it has grown to become one of Africa’s largest congregations. The Faith Tabernacle, where he hosts three services every Sunday, is Africa’s largest worship center, with a seating capacity of 50,000. Oyedepo owns four private jets and homes in London and the United States. He also owns Dominion Publishing House, a thriving publishing company that publishes all his books (which are often centered on prosperity). He founded and owns Covenant University, one of Nigeria’s leading tertiary institutions, and Faith Academy, an elite high school.

2. Chris Oyakhilome
Church: Believers’ Loveworld Ministries, a.k.a Christ Embassy
Estimated net worth: $30 million – $50 million
Last year, the charismatic preacher was at the center of a $35 million money laundering case in which he was accused of siphoning funds from his church to foreign banks. Pastor Chris pleaded no wrongdoing and the case was eventually dismissed. His church, Christ Embassy, boasts more than 40,000 members, several of whom are successful business executives and politicians. Oyakhilome’s diversified interests include newspapers, magazines, a local television station, a record label, satellite TV, hotels and extensive real estate. His Loveworld TV Network is the first Christian network to broadcast from Africa to the rest of the world on a 24 hour basis.

3. Temitope Joshua

Church: Synagogue Church Of All Nations (SCOAN)
Estimated net worth: $10 million – $15 million
Nigeria’s most controversial clergyman is also one of its richest and most philanthropic. T.B Joshua heads the Synagogue Church of all Nations (SCOAN), a congregation he founded in 1987, which accommodates over 15,000 worshippers on Sundays. The Pastor has remained controversial for several years for his inexplicable powers to heal all sorts of incurable diseases, including HIV/AIDS, cancer and paralysis. For miracle-craving worshippers, it’s the perfect seduction. The church currently has branches in Ghana, the United Kingdom, South Africa, and Greece. In the past three years, he has given over $20 million to causes in education, healthcare and rehabilitation programs for former Niger Delta militants. He owns Emmanuel TV, a Christian television network, and is close friends with Ghanaian President Atta Mills.

4. Matthew Ashimolowo
Kingsway International Christian Centre (KICC)
Estimated net worth: $6 million – $10 million
In 1992, Foursquare Gospel Church, a Nigerian church, sent Ashimolowo to open a satellite branch in London. But Pastor Matthew had other ideas and decided to set up his own church instead. Today, his Kingsway International Christian Center is reportedly the largest Pentecostal church in the United Kingdom. In 2009, the church posted profits of close to $10 million and assets worth $40 million. Ashimolowo earns an annual salary of $200,000, but his real wealth comes from varied business interests including his media company, Matthew Ashimolowo media, which churns out Christian literature and documentaries. Ashimolowo’s representatives did not respond to a request confirming his net worth and ownership of all these assets.

5. Chris Okotie

Pastor Okotie made his first success as a popular pop musician in the 80s. He found the light, embraced the bible and set up the Household of God Church, one of Nigeria’s most flamboyant congregations. His 5,000 member church consists predominantly of Nollywood celebrities, musicians, and society people. He contested and lost Nigerian presidential elections for the third time this year under the Fresh Party, a political party he founded and funds. BANKRUPT QUINN FREED FOR CHRISTMAS

Sean Quinn, who was jailed for contempt in an asset stripping plot, has been granted temporary release for Christmas.
The one-time billionaire will be freed from the training unit in Mountjoy prison for three days over the festive break. He will miss his granddaughter's christening on Saturday.
His lawyer Kevin Winters, who represented the bankrupt pensioner as he was sentenced for contempt, confirmed that the decision to release Quinn was made on Thursday afternoon.
"Mr Quinn will be able to spend Christmas with his family at home, which is only right and fitting because it is no more or less than any other prisoner is entitled to at this time of year," he said. "It is a great sense of relief to his family that his application was approved."
Quinn, 66, was sentenced to nine weeks in jail for not purging his contempt in the High Court. The compassionate leave was agreed following prolonged talks between Attorney General Maire Whelan, the Department of Justice and the Irish Prison Service.

NICK CANNON REVEALS JUST WHY HE DUMPED KIM KARDASHIAN

Nick Cannon has revealed that he dumped Kim Kardashian after she 'lied' to him about the existence of her now-infamous sex tape.
Despite calling the reality star 'one of the nicest people you'll ever meet' Nick explained that he couldn't forgive her for denying the tape existed.
Radio presenter Nick, now happily married to Mariah Carey, briefly dated Kim from September 2006 to January 2007.
Speaking on The Howard Stern Show last week he explained: 'This was my issue. We talked about this tape…And she told me there was no tape.
'If she might have been honest with me I might have tried to hold her down and be like "That was before me" because she is a great girl.
'She’s actually one of the nicest people you’ll ever meet. But the fact that she lied and told me that there was no tape?'
Kim made the tape while with then-boyfriend Ray J in 2003. It's release brought her to a wide audience and directly led to her now-lucrative reality star career.
Nick revealed that he had always suspected that Kim might have had something to do with  the tape's release.
'And I still think she might have even had a part to play with [its release],' he said.

FOOD FOR THOUGHT

Cowardice asks the question: Is it safe?

Expediency asks the question: Is it politic?

Vanity asks the question: Is it popular?

But conscience asks the question: Is it right?

And there comes a time when one must take a
Position that is neither safe, nor politic nor popular
But one must take it simply because it is right

OBAMA WEEPS OVER CONNECTICUT SCHOOL MASSACRE

President Obama wipes his eye as he speaks during a previously unannounced appearance in the Brady Briefing Room of the White House on December 14, 2012 in Washington, DC. Obama spoke following the shooting in a Connecticut Elementary School which left at least 27 people dead.
There have been many dramatic and emotional moments at the White House — but few have been as wrenching as this.
President Obama fought to keep his composure and repeatedly wiped away tears as he addressed the nation about the horror inside a Connecticut grade school.
“Our hearts are broken today,” he said.
He spoke not just as a President, but as a father.
“I know there’s not a parent in America who doesn’t feel the same overwhelming grief that I do,” Obama said. “The majority of those who died today were children — beautiful little kids between the ages of 5 and 10 years old.”
The President then stopped and remained silent for a full 12 seconds to compose himself.
When he summoned the strength to speak again, he lamented the bright futures that had been abruptly lost.
“They had their entire lives ahead of them — birthdays, graduations, weddings, kids of their own,” he said.
And then he stopped again. And wiped an eye.
The emotional, four-minute address showcased a side of Obama the public has rarely seen.

ODD WORLD: MOTHER KILLED WITH KIDS IN THE CAR

Louis Campbell, a Wal-Mart security guard and Harris County Sheriff’s deputy, shot and killed 27-year old Shelly Frey in the parking lot of a Houston, Texas area Wal-Mart in front of her two children as she attempted to leave the premises. She had been caught, with two other women, on camera stealing items from the store and hiding them in their purses.

According to Campbell, after chasing Frey and the other two women to their car, he opened the door and commanded Frey to get out. But she refused, and then began to drive away while the deputy was standing between the open door and the driver’s seat. He felt that she was trying to run him over, and so he fired the deadly shot into the car which hit Frey in the neck.

The family is upset about her death, and has responded by saying that she was stealing because of the financial difficulties she has had due to her 2-year old daughter having sickle cell anemia. “Why couldn’t you just shoot the tire, shoot the window?” said her mother Sharon Wilkerson. “Was it that serious?” She added that even if her daughter had committed a crime, she did not deserve to die and she worries now for her two young grandchildren.
