How I Stabbed Super TV Boss To Death —CHIDINMA

 

A 300-Level Mass Communication student of the University of Lagos, UNILAG, Chidinma Adaorah, has been arrested over the murder of the Chief Executive Officer, Super TV, Usifo Ataga, last week Tuesday, in an apartment in the Lekki area of the state.

The 21-year-old suspect, who was paraded by the Commissioner of Police, Lagos State Command, Hakeem Odumosu, yesterday, at the command headquarters, Ikeja, admitted before journalists to have committed the crime.

She revealed that she stabbed Ataga to death under the influence of drugs and alcohol.

The suspect, who thereafter left the short-let apartment at 19, Adewale Oshin Street, Lekki, Phase 1, Lagos, after the incident, was tracked and arrested in her apartment at 57, Akinwunmi Street, Alagomeji, Yaba area of Lagos, Wednesday.

A blood-stained cloth she was suspected to have worn on the day Ataga was murdered, was discovered during a search of her apartment by policemen.

According to NEW YORK (Reuters) -Rudy Giuliani's New York law license was suspended on Thursday after a state appeals court found he had lied in arguing that the 2020 presidential election was stolen from his client, former U.S. President Donald Trump.

Giuliani, 77, a former U.S. Attorney in Manhattan and New York City mayor, was punished for making "demonstrably false and misleading" statements that widespread voter fraud undermined the election, which Democrat Joe Biden won.

El Chapo's Drug Wealth Should Go To Mexico - Mexico President

MEXICO CITY, Sept 5 (Reuters) - Mexico's president on Thursday welcomed a proposal to give the alleged fortune of drug kingpin Joaquin "El Chapo" Guzman to the country's indigenous people, and said the wealth of Mexican criminals in the United States should be returned to Mexico.

Jose Luis Gonzalez Meza, a lawyer for Guzman, said this week his client had proposed that billions of dollars in revenue that U.S. authorities had attributed to his business operations should be handed to indigenous communities in Mexico.

Speaking at his regular morning news conference, President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador, who earlier this year announced the creation of a "Robin Hood" institute to return ill-gotten wealth to the Mexican people, gave his approval to the idea.

"I liked the declaration. I don't know if it's true, I can't verify it, but if it's as it came out in the media, that a lawyer says Guzman wants his wealth to be given to Mexico's indigenous communities, I think it's good," he said.

77 Nigerians Indicted By FBI For Fraud, Money Laundering In US

The United States Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has released a list of 77 Nigerians charged with a massive business email and money laundering scam with about $3bn.

According to Thom Mrozek, a spoke man for the US Attorney’s office, most of the individuals alleged to be involved in the scheme are based in Nigeria while more than a dozen individuals were arrested during a raid in Thursday mostly in the Los Angeles area.

Premium times reports that the indictment was unsealed after law enforcement authorities, led by the FBI, Thursday morning arrested 14 defendants across the United States, with 11 of those arrests taking place in the Los Angeles region.

Two defendants were already in federal custody on other charges, and one was arrested earlier this week. The remaining defendants are believed to be abroad, with most of them located in Nigeria.
