Beating Hilary Is The First Order Of Business For GOP

The stunt Ted Cruz pulled at the GOP convention in Cleveland last wek may someday become known as his "Mistake on the Lake."
By making a point to not endorse Donald Trump in his speech and telling people to vote their "conscience" in the fall Cruz did his own political future and his conservative principles no favors.
He merely made himself look like a political brat and made a few million new enemies in the Republican Party who are unlikely to forgive him when 2020 comes around.
Cruz also broke one of my father's most important rules -- always support the party's nominee.

We Need To Protect Our Economy - Sanusi

The Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi II, who is also a former Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, says the Federal Government needs to protect its economic variables rather than allowing the real economy to absorb the shock occasioned by the global fall in crude oil prices.

Sanusi, who noted that the country was currently in a serious situation, said that tough choices needed to be made to get the country out of its predicament.
He spoke recently in Lagos at the 16th Annual National Conference/Annual General Meeting of the Risk Managers Association of Nigeria.

Women Are More Likely To Divorce Men Who Don't Have Breadwinner Status - Harvard Study

They may enjoy looking after their children while their wives go out to work.
But house husbands may pay a high price for their modern take on marriage.
Research shows that couples are more likely to divorce when the man does not work full-time.
The US researchers say that while the gender stereotyping of women has relaxed, men still suffer from the expectation that they should be the breadwinner.

The finding comes from Harvard University researcher Professor Alexandra Killewald, who analysed data on the lives, marriages and finances of 6,300 couples, including 1,700 who had divorced.
To look at the effect of women's increasing entry into the workforce from the mid-1970s, the professor split the couples into two groups, based on whether they were married before or after 1974.

Literal Bounty Placed On Trump For Him To Present His Tax Returns

No - No...I can't Release my Tax Returns Details

To the frustration of Democrats and Republicans alike, Donald Trump’s most consistent position—perhaps his only consistent position, actually—throughout this ludicrous campaign season has been his refusal to release his tax returns. Now, at least two wealthy Hillary Clinton allies have put out a bounty for them.

The reason given is that he is under audit, and that he cannot release his returns until the audit is complete. According to no less an authority than the IRS, this is a fake, made-up reason: The Republican nominee is free to make his returns public regardless of whether they are under audit. (As it turns out, the IRS has been auditing Trump for no less than 12 years, which is very unusual.)

Donald Trump Calls On Russia To Hack Hillary Clinton’s Emails

Donald Trump encouraged Russia to commit a cybercrime against Hillary Clinton, saying he hoped the foreign nation could recover some of her deleted emails.

“Russia, if you’re listening, I hope you’re able to find the 30,000 emails that are missing,” Trump said at a press conference in Doral, Florida, Wednesday morning after the second night of the Democratic convention. “I think you will probably be rewarded mightily by our press. Let’s see if that happens.”

Racial Tensions ‘Getting Worse’ - Michael Jordan

Retired basketball megastar Michael Jordan says he can no longer sit on the sidelines amid rising tension between minorities and police.

"As a proud American, a father who lost his own dad in a senseless act of violence, and a black man, I have been deeply troubled by the deaths of African-Americans at the hands of law enforcement and angered by the cowardly and hateful targeting and killing of police officers," the five-time NBA MVP said Monday in a statement to ESPN's The Undefeated. "I grieve with the families who have lost loved ones, as I know their pain all too well.

"I was raised by parents who taught me to love and respect people regardless of their race or background, so I am saddened and frustrated by the divisive rhetoric and racial tensions that seem to be getting worse."

All Of The Crime Statistics In Trump’s Acceptance Speech Were Lies

Donald Trump rattled off a series of statistics about crime in the United States, but none of the things that Trump stated as fact were true.

Here is a rundown of 25 of Trump’s key claims — and how they differ from reality — arranged by subject. As is our practice, we do not award Pinocchios for a roundup of claims made in convention events.

Crime

“Homicides last year increased by 17 percent in America’s 50 largest cities. That’s the largest increase in 25 years. In our nation’s capital, killings have risen by 50 percent. They are up nearly 60 percent in nearby Baltimore.”

Trump cherry-picks data to paint an alarming picture of homicide trends, when in reality, they have been declining for decades.

In 2015, there was an uptick in homicides in 36 of the 50 largest cities compared to the previous years. The rate did, indeed, increase nearly 17 percent, and it was the worst annual change since 1990. The homicide rate was up 54.3 percent in Washington, and 58.5 percent in Baltimore.

Syrian Refugee Hacks PREGNANT Woman To Death With Machete & Injures Two Others In Germany

A Syrian refugee wielding a machete has killed a pregnant woman and injured a man and another woman in Germany before being arrested by police after he was run over by a man driving a BMW.
The attack happened in the south western city of Reutlingen near a doner kebab stand in a bus station at Listplatz Square in what has been described as a 'crime of passion'.
German media have been reporting that the motive for the attack in the city south of Stuttgart was unclear but the attacker and the 45-year-old Polish victim both worked at the same snack bar.

3D Printing Industry May Face Cybersecurity Risk In The Future

The 3D printing industry, currently a USD 4 billion business set to quadruple by 2020, may be facing cybersecurity risks that could have devastating impact on users of the end product, scientists including those of Indian origin have found.

In future, manufacturers may print everything from cars to medicines, disrupting centuries-old production practices.

However, the new technology faces same dangers unearthed in the electronics industry.

Researchers examined two aspects of 3D printing that have cybersecurity implications - printing orientation and insertion of fine defects.

"These are possible foci for attacks that could have a devastating impact on users of the end product, and economic impact in the form of recalls and lawsuits," said Nikhil Gupta, from the New York University.

Trump also implied that Clinton helped spawn the different crises happening in the Middle East.

"In 2009 - pre-Hillary - ISIS was not even on the map," Trump said during the fourth day of the Republican National Convention on Thursday at the Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland, Ohio.

Police Shoot Unarmed Black Therapist For Taking Care Of His Autistic Patient

This is absolute Police brutality and racism..

Police in South Florida Thursday said they were investigating an officer who shot and wounded an autistic man's black caretaker, as video emerged apparently showing the caretaker lying down with his arms raised before being shot.

Police were responding to reports of a man threatening to shoot himself on Monday, North Miami Assistant Police Chief Neal Cuevas told The Miami Herald.

Officers arrived to find 47-year-old Charles Kinsey, a therapist who works with people with disabilities, according to WSVN-TV. His 27-year-old patient reportedly ran away from a group home. The therapist claimed he was trying to return his patient to the facility.

Police ordered Kinsey and the patient, who was sitting in the street playing with a toy truck, to lie on the ground. The video shows Kinsey lying down and putting his hands up while trying to get his patient to comply.

An officer then fired three times, striking Kinsey in the leg, Cuevas said. No weapon was found.

My Amicable Divorce With Mariah Carey Is Actually 'F*cked Up' —Nick Cannon

Nick Cannon has insisted that he and Mariah Carey are totally amicable amid their divorce drama.
But even though the former flames are adamant things are completely good between them, the America's Got Talent host actually admitted their split is kind of "f*cked up!"

The 35-year-old vented to Howard Stern on The Howard Stern Show Monday, saying he doesn't like that the time he spends with their twins Moroccan and Monroe, is now labeled "visitation."

The rapper dished that he feels for father's everywhere who are supposed to associate this word with quality time with their kids:
"It's kind of f*cked up when time with your kids is considered visitations. It's unfair to the fathers in the situation. I'm just keeping it real…That's pain, right there."

Kanye West’s Phone Call With Taylor Swift - Full Transcript

On Sunday night, the feud between Taylor Swift and Kanye West reached a boiling point when Kim Kardashian West released footage of a recorded call between West and Swift on Snapchat. The video appears to show the two music superstars discussing the lyrics of his song, “Famous,” which references Swift.

A quick recap: After West released the song, Swift released a statement: “Kanye did not call for approval, but to ask Taylor to release his single ‘Famous’ on her Twitter account. She declined and cautioned him about releasing a song with such a strong misogynistic message.” But in a recent GQ profile, Kardashian West contradicted this, saying that Swift was not telling the truth — and that she had recorded proof.

The Receptionist – Episode 2

November 16th 8:00pm
‘So you mean just like that, the man offered you a job?’ Mama asked with a skeptic look, as she looked away from the tray of beans in front of her.
‘Yes ma’ I answered not able to hide my smile
‘God is good o! My sleepless nights is gradually coming to an end’
‘Mama, pray for me. So he doesn’t change his mind and the interview should go well too’
‘It’s always mama pray for me, go on your knees and ask God, what if I am not here? Anyways, I am always praying for you.’
I smiled knowing this was her subtle way of reminding me of my dead prayer life.
‘Mama, I will pray about it. Let me go and iron the dress I would wear.’ I said as I headed to the room we both shared.
‘Be fast and come and put this beans on fire’
‘Mama, I won’t eat beans o! I can’t risk having a running stomach tomorrow, I will make noodles and eat instead’

Every year, the candidates' wives generally make a speech at the political conventions and despite saying she does her own work, Melania apparently couldn't help but steal borrow some inspiration from a speech Michelle Obama gave back in 2008!

25 Most Stressed-Out Cities in America

According to the American Psychological Association, Americans’ stress levels are trending downward. However, the improvements have been uneven. Just as the income gap has been growing, so has the gap between people who seem to manage stress well and those who do not.

In its latest annual review of stress in America, the APA identified money and work as the two largest sources of stress for Americans, followed by the economy, family responsibilities, and personal health concerns. 24/7 Wall St. reviewed a range of data in these categories in order to measure the likelihood of living in stress in urban areas. To identify the most stressed city in every state, 24/7 Wall St. created an index of data measuring the two most common sources of stress — money and work — in U.S. metropolitan areas.

Best Ways To Apply Perfume To Make It Last The Whole Day

We all use perfumes to make ourselves smell good but many times the scent only lasts a short while.
It’s simply because we’ve all been applying it wrongly all along, mostly because we do not apply them at right spots for the beautiful smell to last throughout the day.

Here are the best places to apply perfume on your body that will make the scent last the whole day.

1. Hair
Do NOT spray perfume directly to your hair as it will dry the hair out, apply or spritz the perfume to your hair brush and use it on your hair or pray the perfume in the air and use your hair to collect the particles.

AMBODE AND THE STREET TRADERS OF LAGOS, NIGERIA

I am writing this piece after holding a series of conversations with Lagos street traders and hawkers who seem not be aware of or are just indifferent to, or may be they are intrigued by, the fact that the State Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode has declared on television that the state government is prepared to enforce an existing law banning street hawking. The relevant law, the Lagos State Street Trading and Illegal Market Prohibition Law, 2003 prescribes a punishment of N90, 000 or a six-month jail term, for both the buyer and the seller of any goods or services on the streets.  So I asked this vendor, who kept pushing copies of the day’s newspapers in my face, so close, you wouldn’t even be able to read the headline free of charge.
“My friend, are you aware that what you are doing is illegal? You never hear say Governor Ambode don ban street trading?”
“That one no concern vendor oh. Na these other people wey dey sell chewing gum and water dem dey talk about”
“No. Street trading is street trading.  You are hawking your newspapers, why don’t you get a shop or a stand?”
“Make I open shop to sell newspaper? Na for inside traffic people dey buy newspaper, oga?’”
“I just hope they won’t arrest you. The fine is N90, 000 or six months in jail.”
“Oga, you wan buy paper? Which one you wan buy, I beg.  See, the thing be say, for this Nigeria, anytime wey anybody reach power, dem go just dey do wetin dey like. Dey no dey pity we poor people at all.”
I laughed and drove off.

20 FOOTBALL MANAGERS WHO’VE MADE A FORTUNE BEING SACKED

1. LOUIE VAN GAUL – £6M
Sky Sports sources believed the Dutchman was informed on Sunday the same night after winning the FA cup that he would no longer be in charge of the club next season. He still has a year of his contract worth £6m and Utd will have to honour it. United then pounced on Jose Mourinho a couple of days later in a deal worth £18m, why can’t clubs just offer managers one year deals? If Jose does a Chelsea, how long will it be before he is in this article?
2. ROBERTO MARTINEZ – £4M
Its now confirmed that Everton FC have sacked their manager Roberto Martinez. Don’t feel sorry for him as he still has three years left on his contract worth millions. Its reported although not officially disclosed that Everton have agreed a compensation package worth around £4m. That’s more money than most of us ever earn in our lives! Not bad considering how poor the second half of the season has been for the toffee’s.
Some Everton fans were saying just six months ago that the recent football at Goodison Park was the best they had ever seen, then Roberto lost the fans and the dressing room, how things can change in a short period of time. Frank de Boer is favourite to take over at Everton FC.
