Trumps v Clintons: Rival Families

Trumps v Clintons: Rival families take their places at historic debate to support Hillary and The Donald as the two candidates go to war

Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton were joined by their family and political allies as they battled at their first debate at Hofstra University in New York. Trump's adult children were in the hall to support him along with his wife Melania, who was seen for the first time since the Republican National Convention. Ivanka Trump, (left with Melania) Eric Trump, Donald Trump Jr and Tiffany Trump (top right with Bill Clinton) all followed Melania into the auditorium before the start of the debate.

Melania then crossed the room and shook the hand of Bill Clinton, bridging the divide between the candidates for the first time. Dressed in a black form-fitting dress Melania and Clinton graciously greeted one another, smiled and appeared to exchange pleasantries.

The former president then greeted all of Trump's adult children before they sat down to watch their family members spar in front of the nation. However, before Bill Clinton (bottom right with daughter Chelsea and her husband Marc Mezvinksy) arrived there was some uncertainty as to where he would watch the debate. But after hemming and hawing, Bill Clinton decided to sit inside the hall next to Chelsea.
