HARRY POTTER STAR GRIFFITHS DIES

Richard Griffiths, one of Britain's most celebrated character actors, has died from complications following heart surgery.
The stage and screen star, who played Uncle Vernon Dursley in the Harry Potter films, was 65.
Daniel Radcliffe, who played Harry Potter alongside him, led tributes to the actor whose "encouragement, tutelage and humour" made work "a joy".
Radcliffe, who also performed with Griffiths in the stage play Equus, said: "Richard was by my side during two of the most important moments of my career.
"In August 2000, before official production had even begun on Potter, we filmed a shot outside the Dursleys', which was my first ever shot as Harry. I was nervous and he made me feel at ease.

MAN KILLED BY 72-YEAR-OLD DRIVER

Police say a 55-year-old man was killed inside a Glendale, California, bakery and five others were injured when a 72-year-old driver smashed her luxury car into the shop Thursday.
Sgt. Tom Lorenz says the victim was pinned to the counter of Oledina's Cake Factory at around 1pm when the woman's Lexus crashed through the front windows.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
A woman walking in the parking lot outside the bakery was grazed by the vehicle's side view mirror and taken to the hospital for minor injuries.
An employee inside the coffee shop suffered bumps and bruises and three others had injuries from broken glass and diving out of the way.
Police say the driver, who wasn't injured, also struck five vehicles in the parking lot before barreling into the store.

TIGER WOODS SALVAGES GOLF LEADERSHIP

It was much awaited news and a pleasant one to hear. All along I have been looking forward to the day this lad will reclaim his position as the no1 golfer in the world. The scandals surrounding him was as if he was the most sinful being on earth, whereas majority of the staff and management of his corporate sponsors are worst than him. On his own part he decided to let the whole world knows about what he did wrong and accepted the blames the majority lashed on him. However, he never gave up on the sport he loves passionately. He carried on like a snail slowly moving to a destination and not minding its locomotory rate but the targeted destination.

As human beings we sometimes encounter certain situations that are either beyond our capabilities or we cannot fathom what the situations all about or how to resolve them. But with the spirit of determination and being focus we can overcome many of these life situations. Tiger’s mind was made up about not giving up on golf and about life, though he lost several competitions within these periods of trying to get out of the “Woods” but he finally made it to his destination of no1 golfer.

According to an online newspaper, it describes the period he was trying to regain his skills and the belief in himself as:
He has droned on so about reworking his game and recovering from injuries that it was easy to tune out the talk about his process. “You’ve got to be able to do it at home first, that’s where it all starts,” he said. “Then it feeds into coming out here and doing it on Thursday, Friday and maybe a Saturday afternoon and then ultimately down the stretch on Sunday.

GOOGLE Plus vs. FACEBOOK… WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE?

On 28th June, 2011 Google rolled out the beta version of its highly anticipated social networking site, Google Plus. It is no secret that Google has long been wanting to get a slice of the social networking market. So, what exactly is Google Plus and how does it compare to Facebook? In this post we are going to look at Google Plus Versus Facebook and examine some of their major differences.
Simply put, Google Plus has integrated many of the best features from our favorite social media sites, such as Facebook and Twitter, in one convenient package.

The Comparison:
You’ve probably seen some of the cartoons poking fun at the rivalry between Facebook and Google+. While they’re all in good fun, there’s a grain of truth to them as well. By all accounts, Google is trying to oust Facebook as the King of Social Media – and if any company is up to the task, it’s Google. But is Google+ a contender? Let’s compare the two and see.

WHY FIVE FRIENDS ARE ALL YOU NEED IN LIFE?

Forget having hundreds of friends on Facebook, we need just five trusted people in our lives, researchers say. To cope with modern life we want an agony aunt, an emotional support, someone good with money, a practically minded person and a colleague we can ask for work advice.

The research shows a minimum of five friends and colleagues are now required to share out our problems and get useful advice from. Top of the list is an agony aunt figure we can tell our problems to, followed by a loved one who will put an arm around us and provide emotional support.
The third most in demand is someone to help us out with financial matters and advise us how to save money. And fourth is a knowledgeable friend or family member we can turn to for advice on life’s practical matters.
The fifth most important is a colleague we can look to for help and advice in the workplace, according to the study by Nationwide Building Society. However, the research reveals that despite the average Facebook user having 190 friends, 32 per cent of Brits still don’t feel they really have anyone on their side.
Men are twice as likely to feel they have no one to turn to (42 per cent) in their daily lives as women (23 per cent). And perhaps giving the lie to the notion those in the north are friendlier, people (73 per cent) in the South East of England feel more supported than any other region.
Sadly, it seems that age diminishes our support network with Brits over the age of 55 feeling they have fewer trusted friends (40 per cent) than any other age group. The research shows our main needs are for someone to listen to our problems (23 per cent), to provide emotional support (18 per cent) and to ease the pressures of everyday life (18 per cent).
