Violence and looting overtook much of West Baltimore on Monday, injuring more than a dozen police officers and leaving buildings and vehicles in flames.

As night fell, looters took to Mondawmin Mall and a Save-A-Lot and Rite Aid in Bolton Hill, loading up cars with stolen goods. About 10 fire crews battled a three-alarm fire at a large senior centre under construction at Chester and Gay streets, as police officers stood guard with long guns.

About 10 p.m., police confirmed shots were fired at an officer in the area of Virginia Avenue and Reisterstown Road in Northwest Baltimore. The officer was not hit and the suspect fled.

The Abandoned Mr. President

Aso Rock Villa is So Empty, Friends, and Associates Have Abandoned Me – Jonathan

Failure they say has no friends. This is the reality of life that has just done on the Nigeria outgoing President whose friends have fled since he lost the last election.

Like the old saying that people only share in the sweetness of the moment and not in its bitterness. If you are successful you will be crowded by many especially people that do not want your progress but only milk you to the last drop. They don't care the source of your wealth and successful, they only believe in the echo of the drums praising you.

Sometimes, a situation like this (abandonment) brings about the true picture of the kind of people that surrounds you parading themselves as friends, loyalists or well-wisher. This is the time to have a reflection of what life is all about. You might think you understand them, you also think you are in charge and they will do and undo for you, but the fact is, the complexity of the world has made human beings complex beings and so difficult to understand if not impossible.

Former Federal Lawmaker, Doris Uboh-Ogunkoya’s Bank Account Frozen By Court

Justice Yunusa Mohammed of the Federal High Court in Lagos, capital of Lagos State, has ordered eleven Nigerian banks to freeze the accounts of a former female member of the House of Representatives, Doris Uboh-Ogunkoya. The court order arose from a lawsuit filed against Ms. Uboh-Ogunkoya by Sterling Bank Plc, alleging that she and her company had defaulted on a substantial loan. The lawsuit, which was filed by Dada Awosika on behalf of Sterling Bank, also lists the former legislator’s company, Dagasteel International Limited, as co-defendant.

Ms. Uboh-Ogunkoya was a House of Reps member from 2007 to 2011. She also ran unsuccessfully as a senatorial candidate of the Labor Party in the March 28, 2015 elections. An affidavit by Mr. Tunji Bajowa, an official of Sterling Bank, disclosed that Ms. Uboh-Ogunkoya and her company received loans of $1,600,000 and N100 million to finance a contract awarded to Dagasteel by different bodies, including the Shell Petroleum Development Company (SDPC), the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA), and the Pipelines and Product Marketing Company Limited (PPMC).

Bruce Jenner Reveals to Diane Sawyer: ‘Yes, I Am a Woman’

"Yes, and for all intents and purposes, I am a woman," Bruce Jenner announced to Diane Sawyer within the first five minutes of his highly anticipated "20/20" interview on Friday.

“It’s going to be tough. I’ve been thinking about this day forever and what I should do with my life… how do I tell people what I’ve been through? Today is that day, and I get to choose,” Jenner said during the sit-down, as he wiped away tears.

The announcement comes after longtime speculation that the former Olympian was transitioning to female.

Sawyer asked Jenner to clarify his sexuality, to which he (the pronoun Jenner prefers for the time being, according to the special) responded: “You’re going back to the sex thing, it’s apples or oranges. Sexuality is who you’re attracted to, who turns you on — gender identity is who you are, what is in your soul.”

As far as his sexual preferences, Jenner maintained, “I’m not gay.”

While Bruce and third wife Kris Jenner divorced in 2014, he confessed, “I loved Kris, I had a wonderful life with her. I learned a lot from her.”

Jonathan Blasts Allison-Madueke: Get Out Of My Sight

President Goodluck is very angry and from what Date360.net gathered, he believes it is the corrupt acts that were perpetrated by Diezani Allison-Madueke and other powerful ministers in his government that made Nigerians see him as a weak president and refused to vote for him on March 28.

Consequently, after a picture of the Minister of Petroleum, Allison-Maduake, in the house of ex-president Abdulsalami Abubakar to beg for forgiveness from President-Elect Muhammadu Buhari leaked, it was learnt that Jonathan was angry to the extent he does not want to set his eyes on her again.

When she attempted to see Jonathan, he immediately shouted on her: "Just get out of my sight"!

The situation is so bad that former Head of State, Abdusalami Abubakar, on Thursday led the Minister to a closed-door meeting with President Jonathan in his office at the Aso Rock Villa.

Mum Dies Few Minutes During ChildBirth & Wakes Up Without Remembering Giving Birth

Hilary Wilson, from Whitchurch, Shrops, was technically dead for a terrifying 11 minutes after suffering a severe cardiac arrest as her son, Felix, was being born.

The 41-year-old woke up four days later, with absolutely no idea that she had been pregnant, or that she had given birth to little Felix just days earlier.

And it was only when she saw a picture of her new baby wearing her elder children's hand-me-downs that she realised he was her son.

Despite being given just a 30% chance of survival and an 85% possibility of brain damage, the mum-of-three is now back at home with her children and husband, Barry, after making a remarkable recovery.

PETROLEUM MINISTER DIEZANI ALISON-MADUEKE ESCAPES TO LONDON

Barely two months to the inauguration of a new government, the fear of the President-Elect, General Muhammadu Buhari is already driving corrupt officials who wield enormous power under the out-going Goodluck Jonathan administration, out of the country. Buhari has declared that the fight against corruption will be a major drive of his in-coming administration.

iReports-ng.com gathered that following her failure to get President Jonathan and ex-Head of state, Gen. Abdulsalam Abubakar secure a soft landing deal for her from Gen Buhari last weekend, controversial Nigeria’s Petroleum Minister, Mrs Diezani Alison Madueke has fled the country to the United Kingdom, from where she might escape to a safe haven.

It was gathered that Diezani who has a plethora of corruption allegations against her left the country through the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja on Monday aboard a British Airways flight. A reliable source in the presidential villa told iReports-ng.com that “madam had to take off far ahead of the inauguration of the government of Gen Buhari because she is scared he may turn his searchlight on the oil sector.” Ironically, the minister who is widely known to travel around in private jets had to travel this time in the first class cabin of the British Airways flight.

Celebrities Who Swing Both Ways

There is nothing our society loves more than poking our noses into a celebrity’s personal affairs. Whether it’s uncovering their dark past or exposing their sexuality, people (particularly gossip magazines) thrive on being able to reveal famous people’s most private secrets.

However, there are some celebrities who like to steal the thunder from us regular folk by admitting their secrets in a public setting. Take these fourteen famous people, for example. The celebrities in this list have nothing to hide when it comes to admitting their bisexuality and are, in fact, quite proud of it. Good on them, we say!

Andy Dick
The controversial American comedian is no stranger to rumors about his sexuality. While strong rumors have been circulating about him being gay, he set the record straight (ignore that pun) in 2006 by admitting to The Washington Post that he was bisexual, not gay.

Alan Cumming
Despite being married for eight years to Hilary Lyon, the Scottish actor experimented with homosexuality after his divorce. After fully embracing his sexuality, he married graphic artist Grant Shaffer in 2007.

EXCLUSIVE VIDEO:: Vote for Ambode Or Drown in the Lagoon, Oba Akiolu of Lagos Threat To Igbos

Oba of Lagos (Oba Rilwan Akiolu) literally condemned the Igbo who will vote against his choice of candidacy in the person of Ambode (the APC gubernatorial candidate).
While addressing some group of people (who I believe are mainly Igbos) who paid him a visit in his palace, regarding the forthcoming Gubernatorial election in Lagos State, he was of the opinion that he is fully in support of the candidate he hand-picked and his is against opposition candidate despite being blood related (the person of Jimi Agbaje)

He went further to alter words that are more of a threat to the people who will vote against his candidate

Surprise List Of 20 Owners Of Richest Oil Blocks In Nigeria

It’s no news the North wants GEJ out of the way, so their licenses can be renewed cos most of them are expiring from 2017 upwards.
Monumental injustice is being perpetrated to the people of Niger Delta on whose soil the oil was found.
These people constitutes the main opposition to President Goodluck Jonathan today. Please Read on:
(1) This oil block business is so lucrative that Danjuma’s Sapetro divested of its investment in Akpo condensate for $1billion dollars. This business is second to none in Nigeria. That is why any attempt to investigate the activities in this sector will always be futile. The money is so much that they give bribes in millions of dollars.
A birthday gift or child naming gift from an oil block owner to a government official could be as paltry as $2million dollars, and if the official’s father died, the condolence gift could reach mere $3 million dollars. When they want to bribe legislators, it is in millions of dollars and any ongoing investigation ends within weeks. They are so confident that with excess money they can buy up Nigeria and they are succeeding.

(2) OML 110 with high yield OBE oil fields was given Cavendish Petroleum owned by Alhaji Mai Daribe, the Borno Patriarch in 1996 by Sanni Abacha. OBE oil field has estimated over 500 million barrels of oil. In layman’s language and using average benchmark of $100 dollars per barrel, translates to $50 billion dollars worth of oil reserve. When you remove the taxes, royalties and sundry duties worth about 60% of the reserve payable over time you get about $20billion dollars worth of oil in the hands of a family.

(3) OPL 246 was awarded to SAPETRO, a company owned by General Theophilus Danjuma, by Sanni Abacha in 1998. Akpo condensate exports about 300,000 barrels of crude daily.

The IntelCenter’s ‘Top 10 Most Dangerous Countries‘ list as of March 2015 is topped by the Middle East region, with Iraq and Syria ranked No 1 and 2 respectively.  IntelCenter’s Country Threat Index (CTI) examines the volume of terrorist and rebel alerts, messaging traffic, videos, photos, incidents and the number of people killed and injured in a country and runs it through an algorithm to assign the country its CTI. The higher the CTI the greater the risk.

BRUCE JENNER FACES DEATH SUIT

The stepchildren of the woman who was killed in the Bruce Jenner car crash are gearing up for a wrongful death lawsuit, TMZ has learned, and what's especially interesting is that we're told they had virtually no relationship with their stepmom.
Kim Howe was driving her Lexus on Pacific Coast Highway on February 7th when Bruce slammed into her, sending her car careening into the lane of oncoming traffic where a Hummer demolished her car.

Howe has no direct relatives. Her husband died in 2003, and it appears her parents are deceased as well as other immediate blood relatives.

Former VP Atiku’s Congratulatory Message To President-Elect Buhari

Congratulatory message by Atiku Abubakar, GCON, former Vice President, Federal Republic of Nigeria, on the election of president-elect, His Excellency, General Muhammadu Buhari.

My hearty congratulations to His Excellency, General Muhammadu Buhari, for being elected the next president of our beloved county, Nigeria. You have led our party, the All Progressives Congress to an unprecedented victory within two years of it’s official formation, and in so doing, written the most important chapter of our democracy.

The great Nnamdi Azikiwe once wrote that “history will continue to vindicate the just”. Your victory in the polls, with votes from across the length and breadth of our country, bears witness to the acceptance of not just our party, the APC, but also your ideology of justice, fair play and zero tolerance for corruption as the bedrock for national rebirth.

At this historic moment, it is most important to say a hearty thank you to every Nigerian who voted for the APC. Your votes have not just elected the first opposition party into federal power, but has also set a precedent which will have positive implications for democracy across Africa.

Dear GMB, the journey has just begun. Millions of Nigerians have put their trust in you, because they were not satisfied with the status quo. You represent the hope of a new generation of Nigerians, and you cannot afford to fail them.
