PRINCE HARRY FIXES FAMILY TV IN CHILE TO WATCH THE WORLD CUP

Showed his practical side by fixing a family TV while visiting their home in the hillside village of El Vergel

He has been to war zones, flown helicopters and been known to enjoy a late night party.
But to one family in Chile, Prince Harry will always be known as the man who fixed their telly.
On a visit to a slum outside the former capital, Valparaiso, the Prince showed his practical side by mending the family’s television just in time for them to watch the Brazil v Chile match in the World Cup

The Prince was in the village of El Vergel, one of the many slums that cling to the hillsides overlooking the city, to see how the community is being rebuilt following a forest fire in April that destroyed nine in ten of the self-made homes.
The charity Techo is helping the villagers to build new homes out of chipboard and corrugated iron, and inside one of the shacks, home to Coca Perez, 50, and her teenaged son and daughter, the Prince noticed their television was not working properly.

BARCELONA STILL KEEN FOR SUAREZ SERVICES AMIDST BAN

Barcelona is still keen to sign Uruguay's Luis Suarez despite his four-month ban for biting Italy's Giorgio Chiellini.

Despite his rottweiler biting habit on the field, the Uruguay hit man and Liverpool super striker, Luis Suarez, is still madly pursued by Barcelona after his FIFA verdicts.

Barca is still keen to have the services of Luis Suarez despite the reported four mouth ban.

Giorgio Chiellini (who was the victim of the bite) said the four mouth ban smelted on Luis Suarez is excessive.

World Cup 2014: Nigeria Boycott Training In Money Row

According to BBC Sport, The Nigeria squad at the World Cup have missed a scheduled training session in a row over bonus money.
BBC Sport understands the players believe they are each $15,000 (£8,800) short of what they were expecting for reaching the last 16 in Brazil.
They refused to train in Campinas on Thursday and officials later confirmed the session had been cancelled.
Nigeria is scheduled to play France in the knockout stages on Monday having finished as runners-up in Group F.

BBC Sport has learned the problem lies in the interpretation of the bonus structure, with the players believing they will only receive $10,000 for their win 1-0 over Bosnia-Hercegovina and $5,000 for the 0-0 draw with Iran.
The players' understanding was they would receive a $30,000 payment for qualifying from the group.

THE CARNIVOROUS SUAREZ- Did Luis Suarez Bites Giorgio Chiellini?

Suarez clashed with the Italian as the two competed for a free-kick, when Suarez clearly threw his head in the direction of Chiellini. The centre-back fell to the floor in agony, immediately followed by the Liverpool striker who was attempting to play the victim of the clash.

However, an incensed Chiellini got up and confronted the forward, before pulling down his shirt in an attempt to show the referee what he believed to be teeth marks on his shoulder.

While Chiellini rampaged around the pitch in anger, Suarez was seen clearly holding his teeth in pain. Neither player was booked for the incident with play eventually continuing, and Diego Godin struck soon after to give Uruguay a crucial 1-0 win that sees them progress to the last-16 at Italy’s expense.

Sex On The Altar In Belfast Catholic Church

Furious parishioners have spoken of their horror after discovering a raunchy music video was filmed in their Belfast church.
The video for London DJ Wilkinson's song Half Light depicts a young couple – played by Irish actors Joanna Nixon and Diarmuid Noyes – simulating a sex scene on the altar of Good Shepherd Catholic Church on south Belfast's Ormeau Road.

Most parishioners the Belfast Telegraph spoke to after Mass yesterday were shell-shocked.
Claire McKnight (19) said it was a "disgrace" and everyone involved should be ashamed of themselves.

"It's terrible... I don't even know what to say, I'm so shocked. To do that on the altar is horrific," she added.
A fellow parishioner said: "Well, hopefully the Church has learnt its lesson and won't allow things like this to happen again."

Peter Scullion jnr, who was on his way into the chapel for a family Christening, described the behaviour as "disgusting".
"This is a chapel, a house of God. Music videos shouldn't be allowed to be filmed in it, especially not filth like that," he said.

Bosnia came back firing and dangerous, trying to equalize the goal and keep the Bosnia-Herzegovina flag still flying in the competition but the Nigeria team stood the test of time. Several attempts by Edin Dzeko was saved by the Nigeria no1 keeper, Eyama, especially the strike at the last second of the full match.

At the end of the added time and ninety minutes, Stephen Keshi boys were able to beat and carry the victory for the day.

YouTuber ‘PewDiePie’ Who Makes $4 Million A Year Off His Videos

FORBES — Watching other people play video games is growing increasingly popular these days. Sites like Twitch—where people can tune in to watch other people play games, eSports, and so forth—have exploded in popularity.

In fact, Twitch ranks fourth in peak US internet traffic, ahead of sites like Facebook and Amazon. If anyone doubted that video games were a spectator sport, that should be evidence enough to the contrary.

But revelations that YouTuber ‘PewDiePie’ is raking in $4 million a year for his gaming videos should hammer the nail home.

PewDiePie—Felix Kjellberg—plays games while talking, screaming, and swearing, and it’s earned him 27 million subscribers, more than established gaming channels like Machinima, which has just under 11.5 million.

World Cup 2014: Rooney Holds Key To England Success - Lampard

Frank Lampard believes team-mate Wayne Rooney still holds the key to England's World Cup hopes, after claiming there is "an agenda" against the striker.
Scrutiny of Rooney's place in the side intensified when he was played in a wide role in the 2-1 loss to Italy.

But he looks certain to start against Uruguay as manager Roy Hodgson ponders whether to move him into a more central role and switch Raheem Sterling wide.
Midfielder Lampard said: "He is an exceptional player as we all know."

Lampard, facing the media at England's training headquarters, added: "If we are going to do well in this World Cup, players like Wayne are going to come to the fore because that is what they do."

ROLANDO IN DISARRAY AS MULLER AND TEAM THRASHED PORTUGAL 4-0

The German Machine as they are usually called, are all out with furious, agility and skills to shut the mouth of the world best player (Rolando) and his team mates in a match that produced a recording breaking defeat on Portugal.

Before the beginning of the World Cup, Germany announced that they will be at the world cup with single striker in the person of Thomas Müller, the pundits and other sport analysts were all shocked with this selection. However, yesterday game against Portugal proved that the German Machine had mastered the game of football to the understanding that its not by having three or more strikers on field that produces victory but understanding what it takes to produce results as a team and as a prolific striker.

Nigerians & Others React On The Outcome of Nig. Vs Iran Match

Remi Adebayo, Nigerian, lives in the US: “I came all the way from Houston, Texas, to watch Nigeria play and I can say that I'm honestly disappointed about today's game. I think the team played without purpose, they didn't look like they were motivated or interested in winning the game...I have lost all my hope... In defeat, I think Ghana actually played very well. They looked more adventurous. They played as a team... Ghana played much better. I was proud of them in defeat."

Ifeanyi Okafor, a #Nigerian engineer who lives in Rio de Janeiro: “I expected that we were going to win Iran...I'm not exactly very happy but I can only be positive and I'm just staying optimistic that we'll win our next two games and move to the next stage...#Ghana lost but they played much better...They looked more purposeful. I think Ghana deserved to win...If Ghana were to play the game we played, I think they would have won by a larger goal margin. “

Ugonma Onukwubiri, Nigerian, lives in the US: “Since I was a kid I've always watched the Super Eagles...so it was surreal to see the boys play live and in Brazil...Unfortunately, we drew with Iran but the experience all together, as a package, was good...I live in the US and I'm an American citizen but...at the end of the day I ended up cheering for Ghana because home is where the heart is and mine is in Africa.”

Rio Ferdinand
Former England defender
"The decision making in the final third when Nigeria managed to get there was poor. They made the wrong choices. The quality of the balls into the box was poor and they didn't play to their strengths.

"This is the game they should have wanted to go out and win and you would think there would be more urgency in their play."

NIGERIA STRIVING TO OUT-DO 1994 WORLD CUP VINTAGE

CURITIBA, Brazil (AP) -- Nigeria coach Stephen Keshi said Sunday that his current team could be even better than the 1994 side which reached the World Cup second round and was tipped as a possible future world champion
Ahead of Nigeria's first game in the World Cup against Iran in Curitiba, Keshi said his team was still young - ''like a baby'' - compared to the experienced crop of 1994 that lost out to eventual runner-up Italy. Keshi, toward the end of a distinguished international career, played one match in that World Cup.

That 1994 team included a host of talented players, such as Jay Jay Okocha, Rasheed Yekini and Finidi George, many of whom had been playing together for five years. By contrast, Keshi said his current side - which won the Africa Cup of Nations last year - has only been together for around a year and a half.

''In 1994 the spirit was very high,'' Keshi said. ''Here we're building that, we try to bring the same spirit and once we get that spirit, it's going to be two times as strong as 1994.''

Having fallen at the last 16 stage in 1994 and in 1998, Nigeria has had two fairly dismal World Cup campaigns since, in 2002 and 2010. Its failure to win a single match in those two tournaments has contributed to doubts over the ability of an African team to win the World Cup in the near term.

Keshi Lacks Tactical Ability, Says Gara-Gombe

Special Adviser to the Kano State Governor on Sports and seasoned Nigeria football administrator, Alhaji Shuaib Gara-Gombe has said coach Stephen Keshi do not have what it takes to lead the Super Eagles to a successful outing in Brazil.

Nigeria will be making their fifth appearance at the 2014 Fifa World Cup and will face Iran on Monday before taking on BosniaHerzegovina and Argentina to challenge for a second round ticket.

Gombe said Keshi’s men have not  justified their status as kings of African football in their recent outing while questioning the choice of players selected by the former Mali and Togo national team handler.

“From the friendlies we have played, I have not seen proper coordination of that team. They never played like they are truly African champions,” Gombe told Goal.

“It appears that there are lots of gap created from the time we won the African Cup of Nations and now we are going to play in the World Cup.

Brazil World Cup Special: Mourinho Tips Nigeria To Progress

The 7 Dangerous Acts After Meal

* Don't smoke- Experiment from experts proves that smoking a cigarette after meal is comparable to smoking 10 cigarettes (chances of cancer is higher).

* Don't eat fruits immediately -When you eat your fruits with meals, the fruit is stuck in the stomach along with the contents of the meals and cannot reach the intestines in time. Lying there they get spoilt and spoil the remaining food in the stomach too. Thus it is recommended that you eat a fruit at least one hour after eating a meal or before your meal and preferably in the morning with empty stomach. It is in the morning that the body can best use the nutrients in the fruit and get enough energy to start the day.

* Don't drink tea - Because tea leaves contain a high content of acid. This substance will cause the Protein content in the food we consume to be hardened thus difficult to digest. It is preferable to drink tea an hour after meals.
