Zimmerman 'got away with murder'

A juror in the trial of neighbourhood watch volunteer George Zimmerman has said she feels he got away with murder for fatally shooting teenager Trayvon Martin, but that there was not enough evidence at trial to convict him under Florida law.
Mr Zimmerman was acquitted earlier this month of second-degree murder and manslaughter charges over the 2012 death of the unarmed 17-year-old. The Miami teenager was shot dead during a confrontation with Mr Zimmerman. The case spawned heated national debates about racial profiling and the so-called 'stand your ground' self-defence laws in Florida and other states.

Juror B29 told ABC News that she favoured convicting Mr Zimmerman of second-degree murder when the six-member, all-woman jury began its deliberations. "I was the juror that was going to give them a hung jury. I fought to the end," she said.

Dozens Die In Spain Train Disaster

At least 77 people have been killed and more than 100 injured as a passenger train derailed in north-western Spain, according to reports.
The train, which was heading from Madrid to Ferrol, crashed off the tracks near Santiago de Compostela in Galicia. More than 70 bodies are reported to have been removed from the wreckage.

State-owned train operator Renfe said in a statement that 218 passengers and an unspecified number of staff were on board at the time of the accident. Renfe said the derailment happened at 8.41pm local time on a high-speed section that was inaugurated two years ago.

Feast day festivities planned in Santiago de Compostela were cancelled, town hall spokeswoman Maria Pardo told Spanish National television TVE.

THE SENATE CLARIFIES CHILD MARRIAGE IN NIGERIA

The alleged voting for child marriage in Nigeria has been clarified; some senators have declared that the public misconstrued their position on the issue. Senators Akin Odunsi, (ACN Ogun West) and Atiku Abubakar Bagudu (PDP Kebbi Central) briefed journalists that the Senate position on the issue was completely different from both the public and media views. Senator Odunsi, explained that the alleged under age marriage provision was an existing law in the 1999 constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria as contained in section 29 clauses 4(b) which states that" any woman that is married in Nigeria is of full age" He explained further that the Senate wanted to amend the archaic clause and not create the law as wrongly portrayed by Nigerians. He said the move was not successful due to shortage of 13 votes because 60 senators voted for its removal as against 73 required votes while 35 voted for its retention.

It's a prince! On Monday, the world welcomed the newest addition to the royal family and the future heir to England's throne. Palace officials confirmed the arrival of His Royal Highness the Prince of Cambridge, born at St. Mary's Hospital at 4:24 p.m. BST, and weighing 8 lbs. 6 oz..

"We could not be happier," said Prince William in a statement released by the palace shortly after the birth of his son. He was at his wife's side during her delivery, unlike past royals. Both mother and child are doing fine, the palace confirmed.

FUNKE AKINDELE SPEAKS ON THE FAILED MARRIAGE

I was amused with the news that Funke Akindele left the marriage that is yet to be fully blossomed and bring forth the fruit of the worm. I wonder why the early disengagement from a conjugal bliss that supposed to be a life time thing. Anyway, she knows better and in a position to adequately provide all necessary details of the hidden facts behind the marriage.

According to Funke Akindele (the Jennifer movie creator):
“First of all let me clarify that I have not replied any SMS or spoken to anyone on this development before now and neither have I threatened to sue anyone,” she said.
“I do not know who sent out that SMS denying that my marriage is over. That was what necessitated me sending out a press release so as not to confuse the public, especially my fans whom I’m so passionate about.
“Yes my marriage has crashed. Let the people who are laughing at me continue laughing. My job afterall is to make people laugh. Let those who are without sins or mistake cast the first stone. Let them continue judging me. God is the overall judge. He is the one I look up to.”

THE SENATORS WHO VOTED FOR UNDER-AGED MARRIAGE (CHILD ABUSE)

I cannot imagine how on earth these people are voted as representatives of this country - Nigeria with their supports and votes for under-aged marriage (child-abuse)
Like the late Afro beat legend (Fela Anikulapo) stated, they are animals in human skins who need the help and assistance of psychologists.
Below is the list of the so called inhuman senators who voted and supported under-aged marriage.
1. Sen. Abdulmumin M. Hassan (Jigawa South West, PDP)
2. Sen. Abdullahi Danladi (Jigawa North West, PDP)
3. Sen. Adamu Abdullahi (Nasarawa West, PDP)
4. Sen. Ahmed Barata (Adamawa South, PDP)
5. Sen. Akinyelure Ayo (Ondo Central, Labour Party)
6. Sen. Alkali Saidu A. (Gombe North, PDP)
7. Sen. Bagudu Abubakar A. (Kebbi Central, PDP)
8. Sen. Dahiru Umaru (Sokoto South, PDP)
9. Sen. Galaudu Isa (Kebbi North, PDP)
10. Sen. Garba Gamawa (Bauchi North, PDP)

NURSE & HER FIANCE BUSTED FOR STEALING $675,00 AFTER BRAGGING ON FACEBOOK

A couple from Staten Island, New York, have been living an over-the-top fairy tale for the past five years - but all that changed Wednesday when the pair were indicted on charges of identity theft and corruption after bragging about their misbegotten riches on Facebook.

Amanda Zieminski, known by her nickname 'Meme Zee,' worked for eight years as a nurse at the medical office of South Shore Physicians in Staten Island, where prosecutors say the 26-year-old stole personal information from patients that was used to order new debit and credit cards.
Zieminski, her fiance, aspiring rapper Clyde 'C-Money CEO' Forteau, 29, and their three suspected accomplices allegedly used the misappropriated cards to withdraw nearly $700,000 in cash, which the couple used to buy high-end jewellery, premium tickets to sporting events and go on a romantic Disney World vacation.

NIGERIAN MULTI-MILLIONAIRES: HOW THEY MAKE AND SPEND THEIR MONEY

This particular article was culled from a site and I believe it's quite interesting for my esteemed readers to read this, however, I do not agree completely with the article because there are various sources ( both overt and covert sources) to the wealth of a man. The press only make noise about the open ones and when these people are fully/partially wealthy and blowing the wealth around.

To make wealth is an achievement; the way it is spent is style.

In most cases, successful individuals who have created wealth through wise and diligent investments in business hardly squander their money. They usually prefer to reinvest their capital, including the accrued profit over the years, into their businesses to increase their asset base and level of affluence.

The tendency, therefore, is that the richer they are, the more their business interests expand. In line with this corporate tradition, the rich investors get richer and, when they spend, they do so in a big way worthy of mention. This is because of the extensive attention attracted by their rare wherewithal and will to spend, including doling out money on humanitarian grounds. Among Nigeria’s privileged people are:

VIDEO OF THE WEEK: Dr. Victor Olaiya ft 2face Idibia – Baby Jowo Remix (Baby Mi Da)

If you haven’t listen to or watch the musical video between the Legendary Victor Olaiya and the legend making 2face Idibia you will appreciate the beauty of music, the connectivity between the two musicians ( despite the disparity in generations) and the harmonic rhythm of the music.
The duo combined to recreate the classic song “Baby Jowo” also titled “Baby Mi Da” as directed by Kunle Afolayan (surprisingly I don’t know Afolayan is into music video production)

PREGNANT FORMER OLYMPIAN COLLAPSES & DIES

A pregnant former Olympic runner three weeks from her due date died after collapsing at a Connecticut restaurant on Monday, but doctors were able to save her baby.

Ethiopian runner Meskerem Legesse, 26, of Westport, Connecticut was with her two-year-old son at a Chinese restaurant on the 900 block of Dixwell Ave in Hamden eating lunch when she collapsed on Monday.

The eight-months pregnant Legesse was given CPR at the restaurant before an ambulance rushed her to Yale-New Haven Hospital.

Hamden Fire Chief David Berardesca says CPR efforts in the restaurant and ambulance allowed doctors to save the baby.

It is unclear what caused Legesse's death, but a friend, Fatima Sene, said the athlete had heart problems which were the cause of her retirement from sport.

SPICY- A NEW KID ON MUSIC BLOCK

Just like Olamide was to Dagrin, this new kid on the block is just a prototype of Wizkid. If you are listening to his song for the first time and if not heard about him or his song, you won’t be wrong if you assume that he is Whizkid.
He is a music wizard on his own and we are opening he will be able to put his talents together to get on top.
“His music journey hasn’t been particularly smooth, but this young talented artiste seems to be waxing stronger by the day.
He started out with songs like THIS IS IT, REACHOUT, and recently released EEYAH, which got him commendations from people both locally and internationally
SPICY (@SPICYsings) is here with a new one. He jumped on this DOPE beat made by illBEATz (@illBEATTz); and in abt 4 hours of its release, it got over 2100 downloads and so much accolades.” …..notjustok.com

'Die Hard' Makes Bruce Willis a Megastar

"Has Bruce Willis Gone Flat?" the headline asked more than 25 years ago.

It was early 1988. Willis, then 32, was in the midst of what the Hollywood press considered a career crisis: After bursting on the pop-culture scene via "Moonlighting" in 1985, the actor had hawked wine coolers (to great disdain), released a Motown album (to great disdain), and starred in No. 1 movie "Blind Date" (to great disdain).

Things got worse that spring when "Sunset," a 1920s-set mystery-comedy costarring James Garner, tanked at the box office. The knives weren't out for Willis; they were being buried right in his solar plexus.

Farouk Lawan $3 million Bribe VIDEO Exposed - (A MUST WATCH)- VAMPIRES SERIES

This particular video clip you were about to see makes me hopeless about the Leadership of this great nation.
When will Nigeria have leaders that truly want to serve the nation not for their self-gain or self-interest?
Those corrupt leaders are vampires who are sucking the blood of the masses as well as the endowed resources of this nation.
I will continue to write about these vampires until we feed them with silver and they all perish in the sun.
