WOMAN GIVES BIRTH IN EMIRATES AIRPLANE TOILET.

A mother who went into premature labour on a flight was forced to give birth in the airplane toilet.
The aircarft was forced to make an emergency landing in Vietnam after the Filipina woman gave birth to a boy.
Two Filipina nurses on the flight rushed over to help with the mid-air delivery as the plane flew from Dubai to Manila.
And the mother has decided to name the boy EK after the airline code for Emirates.
One of the nurses, Karen Caballes-Santos told Gulfnews partner website XPRESS: 'When I saw the mother walking toward the toilet, she seemed to be in pain. The father was restless… walking back and forth, nearly in tears, so I offered to help.'
She said she found the baby inside the toilet turning bluish-brown' due to lack of oxygen.'
After clearing the amniotic fluid from the baby’s mouth, nose and ears, oxygen masks were given to the pair.
The baby was kept wrapped in cabin blankets and kept warm using the LED lamps attached to the passenger’s seats.
The website reported that the 35-year-old mother was discharged from hospital on Friday, but the baby, born early at 27 weeks, is still in critical care.

D'BANJ HAMMERSMITH APOLLO, LONDON SHOW

As he's the figurehead of Nigerian Afrobeats, it feels appropriate that D'Banj's debut UK headline show takes place on the final day of the Notting Hill carnival. Alongside the usual dancehall and soca, a good proportion of the anthems that fuelled this year's sound systems and floats are the hits that have propelled the rise of Afrobeats in the UK: Atumpan's The Thing, Ice Prince's Oleku and, of course, D'Banj's own Oliver Twist, a song of such popular reach that it even made it on to EastEnders.

Keeping that carnival spirit going is D'Banj's MO tonight, as is that of a significant proportion of the audience, who have hotfooted it down the road from the carnival. As an entertainer, D'Banj treads the line between suave and rambunctious with ease: his dapper yellow-lapelled blazer is swiftly shed as he starts to rival his own dancers in snake-hipped, low-grinding ability, and the gold chain follows as he plunges off stage for a spot of crowd-surfing. By the show's climax, D'Banj is half-naked and essaying moves that seem to refer mostly to the title of his forthcoming album, Mr Endowed.

SUPPORT PRINCE HARRY WITH A NAKED SALUTE

Sequel to my write-up (the naked prince harry)on the Naked Prince Harry in which I demanded the reason why The Sun Newspaper must publish the private life of the Prince without respecting his privacy; a group on facebook tagged ‘Support Prince Harry With Naked Salute’ has emanated with majority of Britons and other nationals showing their supports in favor of the heir to Royal Empire.

About 13,000 members have joined this growing group as support to Harry for his naked photograph that was published by the Sun Newspaper. Various supporters have posted a flood of images of themselves saluting while in various states of undress- often with strategically placed props including Union Jack flags, backpacks and teddy bears.
Britain's Press Complaints Commission has received about 3600 complaints over The Sun's decision to publish the nude photos.
The online show of support for Harry came as it was announced he will be the patron of a charity race to the South Pole between three teams of wounded servicemen from around the world.
Harry, who last year joined a group of injured soldiers as they trekked to the North Pole, is supporting the Walking with the Wounded South Pole Allied Challenge 2013.

NIGERIA THE WORLD'S NEXT MAJOR ECONOMIC GIANT: OBAMA

The President of the United States of America, Senator Barrack Obama has declared Nigeria as the world's next economic success story, stressing that the discovery was one of the major reasons why his government is committed to helping the country build strong democratic institutions and as well remove constraints to trade and investment through the African Growth and Opportunity.

Making this declaration at the ongoing US-Nigeria Trade and Investment Forum, an event organised by the Nigerians in Diaspora Organisation (NIDOA) in Washington DC, yesterday, President Obama who was represented by Ambassador Eunice Reddick, a top official of the US Department, said that his country expanded opportunities for Nigeria to effectively access its neighbor's market, and diversify its economy beyond a narrow reliance on natural resources as a result of the discovery that the West African nation will emerge as the world' next economic giant.
"As we support these efforts, the Diaspora can play an important role in contributing to a strong, vibrant, and economically prosperous Nigeria" he noted.

KSB 'ATTACKS' DON JAZZY, WANDE COAL DIRTY, FOR INCREASING RAPE CASES

Top Nigerian female gospel singer, Kenny Saint Best popularly known as KSB has gone tough on Mavin Records boss, Don Jazzy and his artiste, Wande Coal over the latter's alleged X-rated content in his new music video 'Go Low'.

The gospel artiste, who could not hide her reservation on the music video, lashed out at Don Jazzy and Wande Coal accusing them of increasing rape cases in Nigeria.

She further asked them to stop bringing back nudity into Nigerian music videos, which she said had stopped and stop contributing to rape cases or get stopped by God. She told them that God has taken them this far and should not misuse the privilege and become an element for destroying the society with adult contents.

According to KSB, "Naked girl in Wande Coal's new is a thumb down from me. We have kids watching. You are bringing nudity back to Nigerian [music] videos to increase cases of rape in our society. It has stopped. Please stop it.

"We don't want rape cases to increase. Please Wande Coal and Don Jazzy, stop this nudity in your [music] videos before God stops you. My dear brother (Wande Coal), the mercy and the favour of God were the elements that brought you this far, not nude girls in your [music] video. I say NO to NUDITY."

MAN MISTAKES SON FOR MONKEY, SHOOTS HIM DEAD

A farmer in southern Nepal mistook his son for a monkey trying to steal his crops and shot the 12-year-old dead, police said on Sunday.
Chitra Bahadur Pulami had been climbing a tree to chase away macaques that had become a nuisance to the family but his father Gupta Bahadur, 55, spotted the boy and opened fire, wrongly believing him to be one of the animals.
"The son was hiding in a tree at their farm to chase away monkeys that used to come searching for food in the maize field," said Arun Poudel, deputy superintendent of police in the remote Arghakhanchi district
"The son died on the spot after Gupta Bahadur mistakenly thought there was a monkey in the tree and opened fire. Our preliminary investigation shows that the father was unaware that his son had gone to the maize field to chase the monkeys.
"Both Gupta Bahadur and the gun that he used in shooting his son are now under the custody of the police."
The three species of monkey native to Nepal, the rhesus and Assamese macaque and the common langur, are considered sacred and farmers normally try to scare them away from their crops without injuring the animals.
"I realised my mistake only when my son fell down and got stuck in one of the tree's branches," the farmer was quoted as telling police by the Nepali nagariknews.com website after the incident, on Friday.

MEET VICTOR MOSES : THE NEXT CHEALSEA WHIZKID

Victor Moses completed his move on Friday evening, was welcomed by the Stamford Bridge crowd on Saturday and trained with his new team-mates on Monday morning.
The next stop for the 21-year-old was to sit down with the official Chelsea website…
Your possible transfer to Chelsea was in the news throughout the summer. It must be good to have your future settled now.
When I first heard that Chelsea had come in for me I was surprised, but I had a call from my agent saying they were really interested in me and what did I think. I said they are the European champions and anyone would like to play there and now that everything is sorted, I am delighted to be here.
I am happy to come back to London as I grew up here and it is a great honour to play for the club that won the Champions League.
You've decided to join a squad with a lot of competition for the attacking places in the side.
There are a lot of world-class players here and I am here to do my best for the team and to help them win more trophies. The club has done well for the past few years, they have achieved a lot, and for me to be able to play with these world-class players, I am delighted to be here.

THE NAKED PRINCE HARRY

What right does the SUN newspaper has to publish the images?
Can one actually have the right to his/her private life?

These are the questions that clouded my mind based on the on-going scandalous pictures of the Prince Harry that are flying all over the internet and various media. This is a question of fame and privacy.
Maybe attaining the so called fame or stardom makes one to loose the right to his/her private life. This just another thing of consideration when it comes to the right one has to his/her private life and the right media has to publish any news regarding you, your family, business, activities, social life and other private life of yours.

According to ‘The Sun Newspaper’, British No1 tabloid, the newspaper claims it has the right to publish the nude picture of the Prince since it is readily available on various internet and media, especially on TMZ (the America media company that first published this private picture of the Prince guiding his private part jealously).

FIRST MAN ON THE MOON NEIL ARMSTRONG DIES AT 82

Neil Armstrong, the first man to walk on the moon, has died at 82.
Armstrong was part of NASA's Apollo 11 mission, and the first to step outside the lunar module onto the surface of the moon. He uttered the now iconic phrase, "That's one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind."
Armstrong was recovering from heart surgery to relieve blocked coronary arteries before his death.
As commander of the Apollo 11 mission, Armstrong became the first human to set foot on the moon on July 20, 1969.
As he stepped on the dusty surface, Armstrong said: "“That's one small step for (a) man, one giant leap for mankind."

Those words endure as one of the best known quotes in the English language.
Neil Alden Armstrong was 38 years old at the time and even though he had fulfilled one of mankind's quests that had loomed for centuries and placed him at the pinnacle of human achievement, he did not revel in his accomplishment.

THE MOST WANTED MAN IN EUROPE: EDEN HAZARD

I must confess, I am not a fan of Chelsea because of the conceited nature of its fans that I have around me but I appreciated their team work and compatibility when they played against Reading in a match that not only required the best of each side but also attitude and extraordinary skills which I found so much in Chelsea new team, especially in the man called Hazard. He is seriously hazardous in nature.
Before joining his new club, Chelsea, Eden Hazard played for his home clubs Royal Stade Brainois and Tubize in Belgium before moving to Lille of France under the tutelage of manager Rudi Garcia and winning Young Player of the Year Award. From a lineage of footballers, Hazard a Belgian footballer had also played for Belgium under 17 and under 19 respectively.

FACEBOOK TRAGEDY: HOW WE KILLED THE GENERAL’S DAUGHTER

This is a touching tragic story (especially for facebook social users) to learn one lesson or the other. My imagination is just about how young men of nowadays opted for crime and killing as the only option to survival.

The murders were young guys between ages 23 and 33 namely Echezona Nwabufor (33) and Ezekiel Nnechuwu Olisa Eloka (23) who narrated how they murdered the young Cynthia Akuzogwu Udoka with a false pretence of friendship and having goods to sell to her.

According to the murderers, we met her on the facebook on our blackberry and we invited her to come to Lagos with the aim of taking care of her expenses while in Lagos or going back. Cynthia was strangled to death in order to steal her money.

According to one of the suspects, we thought Cynthia had a lot of money in her possession but we did not find a reasonable amount of money on her after the evil act. Recalling what transacted, the suspects told media that when she got to Lagos through a flight from Abuja, she was taking to a hotel in Festac where she was lodged. There in the hotel, Reflon tablet was administered in her Ribena drink to make her sleep but this had little effect on her so we tied her up and used cellotape to cover her mouth. After that, we beat her to tell us where she kept the money. “When we didn’t get any money from her, we tied her mouth and strangled her and then we abandoned her in the hotel and fled.”

WHY MEN ARE NEVER DEPRESSED

WHY MEN ARE NEVER DEPRESSED:

Men Are Just Happier People-- What do you expect from such simple creatures? Your last name stays put. The garage is all yours. Wedding plans take care of themselves. Chocolate is just another snack. You can be President. You can never be pregnant. You can wear a white T-shirt or No shirt to a water park.
Car mechanics tell you the truth. The world is your urinal. You never have to drive to another gas station rest room because this one is just too icky. You don't have to stop and think of which way to turn a nut on a bolt. Same work, more pay. Wrinkles add character. Wedding dress $5000. Tux rental-$100. People never stare at your chest when you're talking to them. New shoes don't cut, blister, or mangle your feet. One mood all the time.

Phone conversations are over in 30 seconds flat. You know stuff about tanks. A five-day vacation requires only one suitcase. You can open all your own jars. You get extra credit for the slightest act of thoughtfulness. If someone forgets to invite you, he or she can still be your friend.
Your underwear is $8.95 for a three-pack. Three pairs of shoes are more than enough. You almost never have strap problems in public. You are unable to see wrinkles in your clothes. Everything on your face stays its original color. The same hairstyle lasts for years, maybe decades. You only have to shave your face and neck.

They can play with toys all their life. One wallet and one color for all seasons. You can wear shorts no matter how your legs look. You can 'do' your nails with a pocket knife. You have freedom of choice concerning growing a mustache.

You can do Christmas shopping for 25 relatives on December 24 in 25 minutes.

No wonder men are happier.

CELEBRITIES WHO REMARRIED AFTER SAYING NO TO MARRIAGE

Funny man Robin Williams wanted nothing to do with wedded bliss after his second marriage to Marsha Garces Williams ended after nearly 20 years. (His first marriage, to Valerie Velardi, ended in 1988 after 10 years of marriage.)

"No sir!" Williams said when asked about remarriage by the Daily Mail. "It's not just for the financial reasons. People would think twice about divorce if they had to give up a body part instead of half their fortune. You know, you see someone with one leg and one arm, and you say, 'Hi, Bill, is this your third marriage?' Let's not get to fourth marriages."

But the comedian ended up eating his words in October 2011, when he wed graphic designer Susan Schneider.

Halle Berry
After two divorces -- first from baseball player David Justice in 1996, then from singer Eric Benet in 2003 -- Halle Berry said she realized that she wasn't exactly marriage material.

"I wish I had known then that I was not the marrying kind," Berry told The Sun in April 2011. "It would have saved me a lot of time, heartache and grief over the years."

When news emerged that she was engaged to boyfriend Olivier Martinez a year later, the actress was the first person to remind us that she'd previously ruled out remarriage.

"Who knew? I swore it off, right? Never say never, people!" Berry told "Extra" in April 2012.

ARSENAL SACKS WENGER AS VAN PERSIE LEAVES

The above caption is impossible to many especially the diehard Arsenal fans who believe so much in the credibility and coaching nature of Wenger. But  to some who wants fundamental change about the club, especially in its area of playing second fiddle all time to other clubs, believe that the next thing for Arsenal do in order to win premiership or champion league is to let go of Wenger, who has been the club manager for over ten years.
They were of the opinion that instead of the club’s usually playing safe of ending as one of the top 5 each season, there is need to take the risk of entrusting the leadership of the team in another coach.
Imagine if the above caption is basically real, what do you think of Arsenal without Wenger? This kind of question has caused many unresolved arguments among clubs fans especially those Arsenal fans who believe Arsenal can never let go of Arsene Wenger unless he voluntarily retires.

WIKILEAKS RETURNS ONLINE

The whistle-blowing website, WikiLeaks, has returned online, alleging a “sophisticated and sustained cyber attack” from a “large organisation” over the last nine days. Although its spokesman, Kristinn Hrafnsson, came short of directly accusing the United States government of being behind the attacks, which made the website unreachable, he was quoted, by the London-based Financial Times, of implying that “a link was possible.” The Financial Times, in an electronic mail, yesterday quoted Hrafnsson as saying, “it is pretty obvious this attack is more than a few individuals. We are talking about someone with access to tens of thousands of computer systems. This started just a few days after we got credit card payments open again for donations, and who has a vested interest in stopping money flowing to WikiLeaks? This is an ongoing battle with someone with huge access to power.” It would be recalled that WikiLeaks had to grapple with criminal investigation, which was opened by the U.S. against it, after it published leaked U.S. diplomatic cables about two years ago. The leaked information touched on several countries including Nigeria.

ODD WORLD: WOMAN KILLED FIANCE ON WEDDING DAY

This occurrence was like watching the British Series 'Hammer House Of Horror'  and it made me wondered why a bride could allegedly stabbed her groom eight hours before the wedding.
That's the question hanging over a bizarre weekend homicide in eastern Pennsylvania as a 31-year-old woman faces charges that she stabbed her fiance in the chest during an argument inside their apartment.
Na Cola Franklin has a preliminary hearing on Friday, on what would have been her fiance's 37th birthday. She has applied for a public defender but has not yet been assigned one.

KIM KARDASHIAN ‘PERFECT BITCH’ IS TRASH SAID 50 CENT

Like a saying that one’s man meat is another poison seems to be applicable to the recent comment by 50 Cent regarding Kim Kardashian.
According to Curtis Jackson, Kanye West choice of Kim is wrong and there is nothing so perfect about Kim. 50 Cent statements negate Kanye West comment and title of his yet to be released song ‘Perfect Bitch’.

This reaction by 50 Cent to Kanye’s affirmation of Kim as his perfect bitch will ignite a bigger feud between these rappers who were musical rivals. According to 50 Cent, Kim is only perfect in the eyes of Kanye West.

50 Cent told XXL magazine that…if that man feel like she’s perfect, then she’s perfect. He could mean it and you’ll end up singing that words to it because he’s Kanye.

The rapper continued to say that what one man considers beautiful could be seen as ugly by another.

He added: "You know how it is? One man's trash is another man's treasure."
The artist - who used to date talk show host Chelsea Handler - then said he didn't know if there was such a thing as a perfect woman.
He continued: "I'm not sure. The smartest guys I know have lost being a bad judge of character in that area."

BOLT MADE HISTORY WITH 200M OLYMPIC

Follow me boys to all Jamaican victory
Bolt won the 200m men's final of the 2012 Olympic in a grand style that not only confirms his dominance on the track but the fastest man on earth both in 100m and 200m, thereby becoming the only man to defend his gold medal in 200m.

Catch Me If You Can Blake
Usain Bolt powered home in 19.32 seconds to earn the title of world’s greatest ever sprinter. However, the surprising and fascinating aspect of this 200m final is the way the Jamaicans dominated the race from beginning to the end winning Gold, Silver and Bronze respectively.

I believe Bolt was the inspiring factor for the other Jamaicans (Yohan Blake and Warren Weir) who looked up to him during the race as well as tried to beat him for 1st position.

ERECTION DURING OLYMPIC MEDAL CEREMONY!

This is might be the funny aspect of the ongoing London Olympic 2012 resulting from the outfits of Olympians especially that of the male participants.

He may have won an Olympic medal, but this red-faced rower will go down in history for sporting some serious wood.
Henrik Rummel, 24, won the bronze medal in the coxless four events on Saturday along with his three American teammates.

But at the medal ceremony, it appeared that something else wished to stand up and celebrate with the Americans, as what looked like an erection bulged out of Rummel's incredibly tight shorts.

GUNMEN KILL 16 DURING CHURCH SERVICE

Gunmen Kill 16 At Deeper Life Church during Service: It was like a scene from a war film. A crowd of worshippers in a church — perhaps praying, their eyes shut — and suddenly the eerie sounds of guns. Pandemonium; blood; tears; and anguish. But it was no movie. All was real last night in Okene, Kogi State where unknown gunmen stormed a church and opened fire on worshippers, killing no fewer than 16. Killed were worshippers of Deeper Life Bible Church opposite the Federal College of Education (FCE). Many were injured.  “We are shocked. It is serious,” a Pastor said last night. The gunmen, who were said to be bearing sophisticated weapons, stormed the church during the Bible Study, a Monday programme, at about 7p.m., shooting indiscriminately.

BOLT BLITZES TO GOLD AT OLYMPIC 2012

Usain Bolt is now the second athlete in history to defend his 100-meter title by blazing into a new Olympic record of 9.63. Bolt who before winning this Olympic medal he has been below his peak performance due to injury and was tipped by analysts as silver contender.

This prediction was buffered by the performances of his country man and team mate Yohan Blake who outperformed Bolt in the Jamaican Olympic qualifying a month ago, winning 9.86 to 9.88.

Blake further prove the above by winning his first round and semifinal runs at 10 and 9.85 seconds respectively while Bolt was relatively below these records till the final race.

OLYMPICS 2012: NIG. BASKETBALL TEAM LOSES TO USA TEAM

It was a game I least expected so much from the Nigerian Basketball team, especially with an opponent that is full of astonishing records, skills, experience and disciplines in the game of basketball, yet I looked forward to it.

Carmelo, Lebron and Kobe's unlimited laugh
The game was dominated by US from the beginning to the end with display of array of skills. It was later turned to a comic when the duo of Lebron James (especially) and Kobe Bryant decided to be laughing at the Team Nigeria's inexperience and average skills. Likewise, it was just like a practice session for US Team as individual player experiment his 3 point skills.

Chamberlin
The Nigeria vs. US game was history making game for both the winner and the loser as US team used Nigerian team to make Olympic history by wiping off the record set by Brazil in Soul Korea Olympic(1988) when they beat the Egyptian Basketball Team to a score of about 138 point.

Kobe
I lost touch with the game when the Nigerian team were been mocked by the US. Anyway, kudos to the Nigerian Team as they made history with the USA dream Team.

Winning Strategy: Frequent 3 point shots and Quick Recovery after losing the ball.
History Records:
·        ·            US Team shattered the Brazilian Team record set in 1988 Olympics
·         Carmelo Anthony scored 37 points, shattering the Olympic record for points in a game
